Ordered online
Showed up with my cash.
They decided to close randomly in the middle of the day, so I never got my cash.
Totally useless.
Best part? When I called to see if someone could help before my flight, the “kid” told me he was on a Federally-mandated break. From making change. Jesus.

** UPDATED AFTER REPLY:
Being open from 9-5pm for every other store in the mall meant 9-5, not 9 to some random time, then some random time until 5. And putting a sticker on the window (which I only see AFTER I drive there) isn't communicating.

I ordered my currency to be picked up at a nearby location. I wasn’t sure if I had left enough time before my trip but it arrived in 2 days. I had a good experience when I called in to check if the order would actually make it on time and the representative was able to track it easily. I did receive an email to let me know the order was ready and pick up was straightforward. I will definitely use this service again.

Bad exchange rates. I exchanged USD to MXN today at a rate of $1 USD for 16.4 MXN. Meanwhile, the rate at the Mexico City airport turned out to be $1 USD for 17.78 MXN (see photo). Online searches might tell you to exchange in yourself country of origin and avoid airports but that is not the case. If you are traveling to Mexico, you are better off exchanging money when you arrive to the Mexican airport at their currency exchanges and not at Currency Exchange International (CEI) in Orlando. When exchanging at CEI, you are losing about 10% of your money. Please avoid this location for Mexican pesos and wait to exchange in Mexico.

Prior to my international travel in the fall of 2023, I successfully purchased some foreign currency from Currency Exchange International (CXI) online which arrived at my home via FedEX in their stated two-day delivery period. As a result of that experience, I decided to use them again this summer. Most unfortunately, this time it was a horrific experience! On August 7, 2024, I purchased 260 Euros online from CXI, who charged me $323.18 at the then current exchange rate, which included a $17 shipping fee for Federal Express, But I did not and still have not received the Euros!
To this day, FedEX still shows the parcel as “delayed” in Memphis, TN, dated August 15th. As more time passed and after repeated email exchanges with CXI, via a DTC Support Associate, concerning this delay, CXI stalled, refusing to make the logical assumption that the parcel containing the Euros was either lost or stolen and would not be delivered to me. After two weeks from the date of purchase, I requested that CXI refund my credit card the full $323.18 and just deal with FedEX however they wanted for any further attempts at possibly locating and recovering the lost/missing parcel. They refused…
Like most Americans who are planning foreign travel, I made this purchase over a month in advance of my departure date for Europe. Now after 23 days since the initial online purchase of Euros on CXI’s website, compounded by their unacceptable intransigence in acknowledging that this parcel is most likely lost, they continue to refuse to honor my request for a full refund to my credit card. With limited time before my departure to Europe, I was forced to seek an alternative source to purchase the desired amount of Euros and receive them in an expedient time frame. Exasperated, I contacted my credit card issuer and filed a formal dispute for the money already paid to CXI. I am very surprised and disappointed that CXI is acting in such a self-serving, greedy manner, not accepting the obvious and not wanting to work to ultimately satisfy their repeat customers. These days, with customers expressing their experiences online via social media, CXI really is jeopardizing their reputation for future customers. I for one, will never use CXI again and will make sure to inform my friends, coworkers and family of my inexcusable bad experience with CXI. Therefore, I highly recommend that you seek alternative sources for purchasing your foreign currency to avoid wasting your time having to deal with this type of unacceptable and very frustrating, inconvenient and most irritating situation from possibly happening to you.

Worked with Denzel today at Florida Mall. He made the exchange process very easy. Was able to get the right denomination of UK pounds In plenty of time for my son’s trip. I will definitely be back if the need arises.
